Minister Samuel J. Moore Jr. was born and raised in Opelousas, Louisiana, where his lifelong journey of faith began. Growing up in the church, he always believed in God and witnessed His power working in the lives of others. However, it wasn’t until the summer of 1978 that he encountered God personally. In a moment of deep need, when time was running out and no one else could help, God showed up with mighty power, changing Samuel’s life forever. From that day forward, every doubt about God’s faithfulness was erased, and Samuel committed himself fully to a life of trust and service to Yah.

Samuel has been blessed to share this journey with his wonderful wife, Deaconess Leola Moore. Together, they have built a life grounded in faith and love, celebrating 47 years of marriage. They are the proud parents of three children and have been further blessed with eight grandchildren, who continue to be a source of joy and pride. Their family reflects the love and commitment that have guided their marriage, serving as a testament to God’s faithfulness through every season of life.

Beyond ministry, hunting is one of Samuel’s greatest passions. Whether out in the woods or reflecting in the stillness of nature, hunting provides him with time to reconnect with God and appreciate the beauty of creation. This time outdoors not only restores his spirit but also reminds him of the simple joys that come from God’s blessings.

One of the scriptures that Samuel holds close to his heart is Psalm 37:1-7. These verses have been a source of strength during challenging times, especially when he faced betrayal from people he loved. Through those trials, Samuel stood firm in his faith, knowing that God would uphold and sustain him. This passage continues to serve as a reminder that no matter what comes, trusting in God leads to peace and victory.
